SMART Begins Service to Larkspur
| Friday, December 13th, is the ribbon cutting ceremony for SMART’s Larkspur Extension. See more information below under “Events.” Commercial service to the Larkspur SMART Station will start on Saturday, December 14. The new service will connect the County’s largest transit center in central San Rafael to the Larkspur Ferry terminal which is only a short walk from the Larkspur SMART Station. The corresponding Quiet Zone is now in place to coincide with the start of commercial operations. Please take extra care around the railroad tracks as many drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are still getting accustomed to trains on the tracks. As always throughout the SMART line, when necessary for safety/emergency reasons, SMART train operators will sound the horn. |
