Hospice by the Bay names Daniel E. Cohn Board Chairman
6-year Board member succeeds Kenneth Meislin
LARKSPUR, Calif. – Local non-profit Hospice by the Bay named Daniel E. Cohn as Chairman of its Board of Directors on June 27. Cohn succeeds Kenneth Meislin.
Cohn joined the board in 2012. He serves as Chair of the Executive Committee and is also on the Finance and Governance Committees.
He is a partner at Farella Braun & Martel, with a diverse practice in corporate wine, employment, franchise and intellectual property law. He earned his J.D. degree from Stanford Law School in 1984 after graduating from Harvard University in 1979. He has a son, Ben, and lives in Mill Valley with his wife, Lynn, and their daughter, Willa.
“With the passing of my father this past year, I've experienced first-hand the compassion, grace and dignity hospice provides. For so many, it's a comforting light during times that can otherwise seem so dark.  As a board member and donor, what moves me most now is the opportunity to expand patient choice through palliative care and home health options and the important role Hospice by the Bay will play in driving that growth.”
Also voted into office at the June 27th meeting were Robert J. Simon, Vice Chair; Jo Ellen Hylind, Secretary; and Michael A. Kadel, Treasurer.
