    Event Description:

    Women Can Negotiate

Get more of what you want. Negotiation is an everyday occurrence. Women negotiate with children, spouses, hiring managers, staff, bosses, clients and friends. It's so transparent most of us don't think of it as a skill that we have or need to learn. This workshop will show women how to observe the negotiating skills they have used successfully, and give them advanced tools to increase their compensation, clients, deals and personal satisfaction. We will focus on proven listening skills, strategy, tools for collaboration, and how to ask, so that women will get what they want and the other's satisfaction in the process.

Women are always empowered by standing together, learning the skills they need, supporting each other and asking for what they want. This workshop will help you discover your ability and the tools you need to accomplish successful negotiations.

The YWCA's mission is eliminating racism and empowering women. Since 1855, the YWCA has advocated on behalf women. Two million women and girls in the United States, and 25 million women worldwide in over 100 countries benefit from the YWCA's programs. According to the 2013 Census Bureau Data, women earn an average of 77 cents to a man’s dollar. The YWCA San Francisco Marin is stepping out to offer a course on negotiation to help women FINALLY attain equity.
