THANK YOU FROM THE PACIFICS

Congratulations to the players, coaches, owners and staff of the San Rafael Pacifics, the 2014 Pacific Association champions!

On behalf of the Pacifics ownership group and staff, I want thank and congratulate the Pacifics players and coaches for making this Championship year possible. These guys dealt with a tremendous amount of adversity and very tough competition and handled it with grace and professionalism. I am proud of the way these guys played the game of baseball as a team and I think they represented the city of San Rafael and the County of Marin magnificently.

I am equally proud of our manager, Ryan Priddy and our coaching staff, Jesse Smith, Tyler Spencer and Maikel Jova. Each worked tirelessly to make sure we were in the best possible position to win every game.

There are so many other people to thank who made this wonderful season such a huge success.

First, I want to thank all of our wonderful fans that rooted us on throughout the season. Your support and commitment to this team made all the difference in the world to us.

I also want to thank our incredibly generous sponsors and host families that made it possible for us to make professional baseball continue to happen at Albert Field.

I also want to thank and congratulate our Front Office, who work so tirelessly and with such professionalism. Tristan Barbieri and Steve Detwiler our Assistant General Managers; Jennifer Clark our Business Affairs and Community Relations Manager; Vinny Espinosa our Public Relations Manager; Kim Biss, our Sales Manager; Jane Shapiro, our Concessions Manager; Robin Fenn, our Graphic Designer; Jeff Zimmerman, our IT Consultant; Vinnie Longo and Stu Horne, the radio "voices of the Pacifics"; Mark Carlson for his fantastic job on the PA; our fantastic group of interns: Hannah, Chris, Jazzi, Casey, Emily, Megan, LuRay, Natalie, Sam, Ethan; and our entire gameday staff.

But none of this happens without my wonderful partners, Stephanie Plante, Brian Sobel and Steve Allen, and, of course, our General Manager and President, Mike Shapiro.

Finally, I want to thank the other members and owners of the other Pacific Association teams: The Sonoma Stompers, the Vallejo Admirals and the Pittsburg Mettle. It has been a joy to play this season with all of these great clubs and I look forward to working with them again next season as we continue to strengthen the viability and competitive level of the Pacific Association.

This has been a tremendously successful year for our team and our league. All of us with the Pacifics thank you for all that you've done to make our team and our league the very best summer entertainment value in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I can say it now...we are already looking forward to defending our Championship in 2015.
