Paul Simmons to Celebrate Milestone with First Federal Savings and Loan
Paul W. Simmons is the President and Chief Executive Officer of First Federal Savings & Loan of San Rafael. Paul also serves as Chair of the First Federal Board of Directors. Paul is celebrating a major milestone with First Federal in May, 2021 – Marking his 50th Year with the Association! Paul began his career with Bank of America before joining First Federal on May 3, 1971.
He worked in the loan operations/note department where his knowledge of credit and finance began. Paul quickly progressed and assumed positions of higher responsibility, eventually becoming the Chief Lending Officer. During this period, Paul was directly involved in expanding First Federal to its current five branch offices. Paul became President of First Federal in 2008, and was elevated to CEO and Board Chair in 2012. Because of Paul’s conservative business principles, the Association has not experienced a loan loss in over 20 years. The Association has maintained a Superior 5-Star Bauer rated bank performance as well as over 30 years of consecutive profitability!
