    SILVERWORK STUDIOS AT NORTHGATE MALL

Silverwork Studios, a make-your-own silver and gemstone jewelry workshop, is a startup that opened in late October. Located at Northgate Mall in San Rafael, the studio is a custom jewelry making creative space where anyone can make their very own pieces at a real studio in a directed 2-hour workshop. The studio offers over 30 different kinds of beautiful gemstones where you can make a fabulous ring, bracelet, pendant or earrings uniquely your own. The studio runs 2-hour workshops Wednesday-Sunday by appointment and also offers gift cards.

Silverwork Studios is a partnership between Co-Founders, Amy Fitzgerald and Kelly Konis, both of Marin, who have been best friends since they met on the high school swim team in Amarillo, Texas. Amy, the CEO, has big dreams for Silverwork Studios, her brainchild. “We’re launching the studio in our own neighborhood where our close friends and neighbors can try their hand at making their own jewelry. We’re so excited to open our doors and offer this compelling workshop experience in Marin. We hope to be wildly successful, and our grand vision is to create a franchise of studios throughout California one day.” Kelly, the Creative Director, believes everybody can be creative and is focused on enabling a delightful experience for clients. “Designing and making a piece of jewelry yourself might seem challenging at first. But in our directed workshops, we help our budding makers plan their design and craft a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry. A workshop at Silverwork Studios is great for groups, team building, entertaining clients and letting your creativity bloom.

The founders share a passion for art, and Kelly is the daughter of the late painter, Ben Konis. Dedicated to making art a part of life and supporting art in the community, Silverwork Studios showcases artists both young and old in the gallery-like setting of the studio and will donate 1% of profits to art programs for local school children. To learn more about how you can make your own jewelry or book a workshop, visit SilverworkStudios.com.
