Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) provided comment and feedback to City of San Rafael staff’s proposed inclusionary housing and developer incentive pilot program. These changes could create more housing development in the city by providing flexibility in meeting inclusionary requirements and creating incentives. The recommendations include an incentive pilot program to receive additional height or density if they provide specific community benefits. As noted in the past, creating new housing stock has been a focal point for the Chamber so these recommendations are a huge step in drawing interest and attention for local developers. The Chamber is in strong support. Read Our Housing Policy.
