The San Rafael Chamber of Commerce joins the Bay Area Council and the North Bay Leadership Council in supporting Damon Connolly's bill AB 1464. Assemblymember Connolly, first started looking at ways to reduce the backup on the Richmond San Rafael Bridge when he was still a Marin County Supervisor.

AB 1464- authored by Connolly, "directs the Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to consider reopening the third westbound lane on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to passenger vehicles in a manner that accounts for expanding multimodal transportation, preserving pathways for bicyclists, and reducing localized greenhouse gas emissions."
This is consistent with the Chamber's priority focus area to reduce traffic congestion, delays and commute times for our workforce and to increase mode options meeting the needs of our local employers.
