Chamber Keeps Projects Moving Forward
As we continue to adjust to the difficult national and local developments, the San Rafael Chamber remains your source for the latest political and business news. Despite the Shelter in Place, the City of San Rafael and County of Marin continue to work on moving applications and policies forward. We continue to advocate and weigh in on the issues that are important to the business community.
- The San Rafael Planning Commission approved the Chamber endorsed Hilton/Hampton Dual Suite Inn proposed at 1075 Francisco Blvd. East. This project will create 184 hotel rooms in East San Rafael. This project is a favorable addition to the business community who are in desperate need for additional hotel space.

- The Chamber of Commerce urged City Council to deny the appeal of the 104 Shaver Street housing project proposal. The project replaces a single-family house at the corner of Shaver and Third Street with a much needed 7-unit apartment building. The new housing will be across the street from another apartment building; and is a welcomed gain to the housing needs in San Rafael. The Council voted in favor to uphold the earlier decision by the Planning Commission and the 7-unit project will move forward.Read Support Letter
