Women have been flying for generations and aviation has had an important and liberating role in the lives of women. Ms. Tague will discuss the history of women in aviation from an historical and personal point of view including; the very first fliers- balloonists, Amelia Earhart, whom she has studied and done field research on for over 25 years, the women's air service pilots or Wasps and her personal family experience. From balloons to planes, this lecture will reflect on the lives of women and their contributions to the field of modern aviation.
