Marin Economic Forum (MEF) is partnering with Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) to investigate the commute patterns and use of incentives by small and medium enterprises (companies with fewer than 50 employees) for alternative transportation modes. Carpool, vanpool, electric vehicle, public transport, cycling to work are some of the options. Because San Rafael has a lot of options in terms of public transport and other commute alternatives. Some local businesses are likely using a mix of transport methods. Our study is looking at the knowledge (What does your business know about incentives for alternative modes of transport?), attitudes (Does your firm believe that your employees using multiple modes of transport is a good thing for your business, employees, the environment?), and behaviors (Are your employees using alternative modes of transportation? Is your firm providing any incentives to use alternative modes of transport?). Your input will be very valuable for our study; your information will remain confidential and anonymous.
