Our long-awaited annual fundraiser will be held in a virtual format. (I think you need to add a little bit about what the fundraiser is about – auction, entertainment, etc. – with Zoom burnout try to add something to make it sound fun!). The organizationBloom (originally known as Image for Success), was founded by Barbara Lee, who in 1999 envisioned serving women transitioning back to work by providing clothing through the support of community donations and a host of dedicated volunteers.  Today, we are the only organization in the country that dresses women, children and men.  (I would add how many we have dressed, or an annual #)To date, Bloom’s staff and volunteers have served over 20K clients. 

As the impact of Covid in 2020 continues to be a distant viewan ongoing challenge for so many, we are more determined than ever to come back strong and continue to dress those in need in our community. Your donations and support are crucial during this time to sustain Bloom so that we can give our clients the clothes and the confidence to carry on.  Our theme for this year is “Shop- Support- Local”.  Many of the on-line auction items will be primarily from local businesses here in the Bay Area.

Bloom is a volunteer based 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides two weeks free clothing to those in need seeking a life of self-reliance.  We also provide each client with a hygiene kit, undergarments, shoes and accessories.  
 
Bloom is an essential nonprofit agency that has been serving the residents of Marin County over the past 20 years. Bloom serves low-income & underprivileged working populations referred by supporting social services agencies at no cost.
