    Session runs 5 consecutive Tuesday evenings

    Sept. 4, 11, 18, 25 & Oct. 2

    WE CAN’T PREDICT—BUT WE CAN PREPARE
    As a resident we each have a significant role in Marin County’s
    emergency response organization and our response to
    disasters is an important part of our collective ability to
    prepare for, respond to, and recover from a variety of
    emergencies and disasters.

     

    CERT BASIC PROVIDES

    15 HOURS OF LECTURE & HANDS-ON TRAINING

     

    • Learn how to safely put out a fire and keep yourself & your loved ones safe

     

    • Learn how to rescue people if they are trapped under heavy objects or debris

     

    • Learn lifesaving skills to perform basic disaster first aid, including bandaging & splinting 

     

    • Learn how to assist others in your neighborhood or workplace following a disaster when professional responders may not be immediately available to help

     

    • Put all of your CERT skills to use during two simulated, full-scale earthquake exercises on the
      final night of class
