    Event Description:

    Marin Center for Independent Living (MCIL) Auxiliary Board presents Angels by the Bay, an evening of fun and fundraising at the Meadow Club in Fairfax.

    Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. with wine tasting from renowned California wineries. Enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, cosmo fountains and piano music while browsing a fabulous silent auction. Silent auction items include golf, restaurants, hotels, getaways, gift items, and beauty and fitness packages.  

    The gourmet dinner, prepared by Meadow Club’s acclaimed Chef Jamotte, will be paired with international wines, courtesy of Global Wine Company. Tickets are $150 and can be ordered at www.marincil.org. All proceeds from Angels by the Bay directly benefit MCIL’s programs and services.
     
    Honoring Joan Capurro
     
    This evening, MCIL is proud to honor Joan Capurro, SVP Director of Community Relations at Bank of Marin, with the Mayor Albert J. Boro Excellence in Leadership Award, in recognition of her extraordinary commitment to our community.

    Live Auction, Dancing and Cigar Lounge

    The live auction offers one-of-a-kind experiences designed for every taste.  Up for bid are a one-week Aspen getaway, a once-in-a-lifetime Masters Golf Tournament experience, an exclusive Mojave Air and Space port tour experience, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hot Passes, a Napa Valley bike ride with Tour de France cyclist Kym Fant, and a winemaker/chef’s dinner for ten at the new Boca Tavern, featuring Peter Paul wines.

    This year’s Fund A Need will support the Bob Roberts Client Assistance Program with a matching challenge from Headlands Foundation and Rockstar Beverage Corporation.  After dinner, guests can relax in the Cut and Light Cigar Lounge, compliments of Telford’s Pipe & Cigar, and dance the night away to the music of DJ Richard Habib.

    Those unable to attend can support the cause by purchasing raffle tickets for “Date Night Out for a Year.” One lucky winner will receive $1,200 worth of gift certificates from Marin’s finest restaurants.  Raffle tickets are $25 for one, or $100 for five.
