Accounting Associate (A/P & A/R) – Temp – Novato - $35-45/hour
Respected nonprofit organization is seeking a temporary Accounting Associate to support their Finance team during a period of increased workload and Sage implementation. This is a great opportunity to work locally while supporting a community-focused organization. Expected assignment length is three months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Location: Onsite – Novato, CA

Pay Rate: $35–$45 per hour (depending on experience)
Accounting Associate Responsibilities

Process Accounts Payable (A/P) including invoice entry, coding, and vendor payments

Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) including billing, cash application, and reconciliations

Maintain accurate financial records within Sage accounting software

Support the team during and after a recent Sage implementation

Assist with account reconciliations and general ledger support

Respond to internal and external finance-related inquiries

Support the Finance team with ad hoc projects as needed
Accounting Associate Qualifications

3+ years of recent, hands-on experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Sage experience highly preferred (recently implemented)

Previous experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization preferred

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable working onsite in a professional office setting
