The Chamber leadership voted to join the Coalition to Protect Local Transportation Improvements at their last Board of Directors meeting.

The Coalition and the Chamber supports ACA 5, a June ballot measure to prevent the state legislature from diverting transportation funds for other purposes or redirecting funds for non-transportation projects.

The Chamber also opposes the November ballot measure that would repeal Senate Bill 1- the Road Repair and Accountability Act . This repeal would rob our community of vital road and safety and transportation improvement funds. Projects are already under way or planned for the very near future in San Rafael. We would stand to lose millions of dollars coming into our city if SB1 is repealed. A reliable transportation infrastructure is critical to get people to work, move goods and services throughout the North Bay and to support our local economy.
