Our guest speaker Irl Hirsch MD, recipient of the ADA’s J.K. Lilly Distinguished Service Award, Diabetes Teaching and Research Chair at the University of Washington returns to our podium to recap the past five years of Diabetes Highlights. Dr. Hirsch’s career has focused on strategies for the use of insulin therapy and innovations in technology for diabetes management. He has published extensively and is a Master of the American College of Physicians and an internationally acclaimed diabetes speaker!
