As a private, restricted access airfield with limited membership, pilots do not compete for taxiway and airspace, even on weekends.

When fog or heavy winds shut down other airfields in the Bay Area, our pilots can often fly owing to our sheltered location in north San Rafael.

Our proximity to the Golden Gate and Richmond Bridges, as well as Highway 101, provides fast car access to San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, and the East Bay.
